Trying to enroll my kids into school I’m in zone two and I’m really just trying to be on time
Rebekah Horn
I think this is much better then what I have been seeing as far as making sense. I know it will never be perfect but its not for the most part overloading zones from previous proposals
Shameka Williamson
Zone 6. Leave it at the original map. This zone shouldn’t have been touched. All of John barrow is zone 6, Romine is zone 6, Lehigh is zone 6, 36th zone 6, leave it alone
Jim Ross
Can we change the numbering of zones 1 and zone 7. It would make it more logical to number the oldest part of our city as zone 1 and then move west to a zone 7.
JAMES ROSS
Can we switch the numbers for zone 7 and 1. Zone 1 should be the oldest part of our coty moving west to a zone 7 which is some of the newest parts of the city.
James Ross
Can all versions of the maps be posted in one spot

It seems like the John Barrow community has fractured. I think this area should more so cover Boyle Park to the top of John Barrow to the bottom and then into Pecan Lake
Jim Ross
This rectangle between 36th street and John Barrow is an natural division and splits a neighborhood.

Does this mean zone 1 is zoned for don rob?
We’re way closer to Jefferson/ Fulbright
Daughter is going to Jefferson regardless.
because of where I work I cannot drive all the way to don rob.
Madeline Moore
I think this is a nice, balanced approach and appreciate the district taking community feedback into consideration to reach version 3.
Aaron Conrad
I like that comments were taken into consideration when drafting this map. Kingwood and Cammack not being split is a great addition; however, this map splits the John Barrow neighborhood into three zones which I do not like.
Amanda Orcutt
I prefer this map. It keeps all of Hillcrest together and still balances the population.
Natalie Burr
This map keeps Hillcrest area part of the same zone, which is an improvement over map 1.
Sandra Wade
The zones do not make any sense if the school district is making changes without building more schools to accommodate the student:teacher ratio. Schools are over crowded and children that belong to thier own zone are moved to a different zone for registering late.
Trish Moore
These low impoverished zones you need to leave alone it’s very obvious they are not equal you keep giving zone 4 more and more of zone 6, that is not right. These are our tax dollars taking romine putting it in zone 4 after all these years is unacceptable did you move anything in zone 5, no. Racism
Don Martin
The cutoff between Zone 5 and Zone 6 being so near to Hall High is odd. If the plan is to discontinue Hall perhaps that's not as large a concern.
Fiona Simmons
Looks great

Zone 7 and Zone 3, each need an additional seat. Zone 1,4 are the size of Zone 7. Zone 5,6 is the size of Zone 3. The representation of the Board should reflect the students who actually attend LRSD. What Zones do the bulk of the students who actually attend the District live?
Anne Santifer
This map keeps all of hillcrest together while still balancing out the zones' population.
Gary Newton
The map does need more logical, sequential numbering. The question should be asked and answered in public - Were the residences of incumbents considered in any way in the drawing of these maps? The only criteria should be equal as possible population and logical boundaries/compactness.
Victor Wynn, Jr.
I like the map .
Victor Wynn, Jr.
I'm very happy with the map.
Jordan Wynn
This map is a better representation of school zoning in the area. Children are kept closer to their homes.

Map 3.....

Map 3 is my preference!

School Zones are likened to redlining. Being that many are in agreement of segregated classrooms; a few dissenting voices matters not.
Rebecca Houston
This map which puts all of Hillcrest in zone 5 is much better.
Markesha Black
This is all a bit confusing to me.
Nathan Koonce
Why are Ledgelawn, Levant and Lorain left out of the zone where they are zoned for school.
Eugene Krupitsky
This version is better, but still fails to keep the school attendance zones together. Instead of adding st. Charles (zoned for fulbright) to zone 1, colony west was added instead (zoned for mcdermott). Perhaps this needs to be done for demographic purposes but please see attached school zone map.
Scharleasta Thornton
My son stay right behind the Lacey Academy and got approved but has to travel to another school because of the zone and it’s not fair we have to go out the way and drive when he could easily walk to school.
Sharon Conway
Are my children still able to go to the same school my son Lee Conway Pulaski Heights Middle School and Aaliyah Conway at Central High. I take my kids to school they do not ride the school bus
Abby Jennings
Can someone explain why this one section is included in zone 5? I’m just curious.
Kimberly Wallace
The Colony West area makes zero sense. Why take those students out of their neighborhoods? Shouldn’t they be zone 1 or 5? Throw away students-same as always.
Jessica Bartnik
Zone 5 should be north to Cantrell in the area around Knoop Park, due to natural geographic boundaries. (screenshot attached)
Why is zone 1 labeled zone 1? It stands out as an anomaly
Eugene Krupitsky
This map does a better job of trying to keep the attendance school zones in west Little Rock together. However St. Charles which is zoned for Fulbright is still cut out of zone 1 while a notch in Mara Lynn was added (zoned for terry). If those 2 were swapped then it would be much more representative
Elizabeth Henry-McKeever
This version is the best one I’ve seen. Thank you for taking public feedback into account on a very compressed timeline.
Ashley Chandler
Grateful for the recent changes. I believe this is a good representation of LRSD schools, students, & families.
Ashley Chandler
I appreciate these changes and think this is a good way to represent the LRSD schools, students, and families.
LRSD Board Member Anna Strong
While the changes to the western end of zone 5 seem to fit much better with natural neighborhood divisions in this version, this third map again divides the eastern end of the Hillcrest neighborhood in Zone 5. Zone 5 should extend eastward at least to the intersection of Markham and Kavanaugh.
JJ McIntyre
Clearly, the names of zone 1 and zone 7 should be switched. Unless there is a criteria such as the most students in Public School. Otherwise, on the surface it seems the west is feeling a bit self indulgent in the naming, but that couldn’t be true.
Mildred Butler
The district's map is clear and well organized. The information is well communicated.
